The Associates Program provides individuals with a firm Islamic foundation through nurturing personal growth, providing comprehensive knowledge, and empowering students to deepen their understanding of Islam for practical implementation in their daily lives through a traditional framework. 

This Certificate is offered both in-person and online. There is no Arabic prerequisite.

Students may only enroll in one or more courses without enrolling in the full program.

With our 1-hour class blocks, once a week, we ensure a balanced and manageable learning schedule for everyone - college students, young professionals, parents, and the elderly.

Interactive Teaching Styles

Our classes employ interactive teaching styles, utilizing a combination of traditional books adapted to each class’s requirements, powerpoint presentations, and a hybrid online and onsite learning model.

Earn Your Certification

After the successful completion of all courses and assessments students will receive the Foundations Associates Program certificate of completion.

HDTH-102: The Prophetic Tradition- Then & Now

  • Days/Times: Sundays, 7:00-8:00 PM 

  • Instructor: Ust. Mohamud Mohamed

  • Course Description: Whether understanding historical developments or addressing modern controversies, the ability to navigate the Hadith tradition is essential for making sense of the past, present, and future of the Islamic world. This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the foundational concepts, technical terms, and methodologies of Hadith Studies. Students will explore how scholars have historically assessed the authenticity of prophetic reports, categorized narrations based on their reliability, and employed rigorous methods to ensure the preservation of the Prophet’s teachings. (There are no prerequisites for this course).

THEO-101: Foundations of Faith

  • Days/Times: Mondays, 7:00pm - 8:00pm 

  • Instructor: Br. Naeem Baig 

  • Course Description: Why do we believe in Allah? In an age of skepticism, this course offers clear, purpose-driven answers, exploring the beauty, meaning, and impact of faith on individuals and the world. Students will delve into the pillars of Iman—understanding the attributes of Allah, the prophets, divine books, destiny, the Day of Judgment, and the Afterlife. The course also addresses common misconceptions, such as the "problem of evil" and the question of free will, helping students increase their certainty in Allah and Islam as a way of life. By the end of this course, students will be equipped with the knowledge and confidence to live purposefully in light of their beliefs. 

ELEC-01: Intro to Family Law & Ethics 

  • Days/Times: Mondays, 8:30-9:30 PM CT

  • Instructors: Shaykh Abdul Nasir Jangda & Ust. Fatima Lette 

  • Course Description: This course explores how Islam offers timeless guidance for our relationships—with family, spouses, children, and the wider community. Students will study the key principles, underlying philosophy, and essential legal frameworks governing marriage, divorce, and family responsibilities, alongside the ethical values that sustain and nurture these bonds. The course aims to help students understand how Islamic law and Prophetic ethics work together to cultivate healthy, compassionate homes and communities. (There are no prerequisites and this course is not part of the Associates Track).

HIST-102: Exploring the Medinan Legacy

  • Days/Times: Tuesdays 6:30-7:30 PM

  • Instructor: Ust. Ameen Almallah 

  • Course Description: This course is the second in a two-part series that offers a comprehensive and inspiring account of the life of the Prophet Muhammad (may Allah bless him and grant him peace). Based on early sources, it provides a focused overview of the Medinan period, highlighting the key struggles and significant events during this pivotal era. Starting with the Prophet's Hijrah from Makkah to Madinah, the course unfolds the events that shaped the Medinan community until his passing. (There are no prerequisites for this course).

FIQH-103: Fiqh of Fasting, Zakat, and Hajj 

  • Days/Times: Tuesdays, 8:00-9:00 PM 

  • Instructor: Ust. Rabbia Razzaque 

  • Course Description: This introductory course explores the essential fiqh rulings of Sawm (fasting), Zakat (obligatory charity), and Hajj, providing a foundational understanding of these vital acts of worship. Centered on the Hanafi school of thought, the course covers the relevant rules, practical aspects, and contemporary issues related to these practices. This course will enhance a students' understanding and appreciation of fasting, zakat, and hajj, empowering them to maximize their experiences in these sacred acts of worship. (There are no prerequisites for this course).

QUR-202: A Journey Through the 30th Juz - Part 2 

  • Days/Times: Wednesdays, 8:00-9:00 PM

  • Instructors: Ustadh Ozair Hasan & Br. Muneer Zuhurudeen 

  • Course Description: This course is the second in a two-part series on the most frequently recited portion of the Qur'an—Juz Amma. Students will cover translation and in-depth commentary from Sūrat At-Tīn to Sūrat An-Nās - uncovering the historical backdrop, thematic overview, spiritual guidance, and practical lessons in each of those chapters. By the end of the course, participants will be equipped to engage with Juz Amma on a personal level, extracting practical guidance for everyday life. (There are no prerequisites for this course).

TAZK-101: Illuminating the Heart 

  • Days/Times: Thursdays: 7:00-8:00 PM

  • Instructor: Ustadha Sally Elhouseiny 

  • Course Description: In the Qur'an, Allah says: “Indeed, the successful one is the one who purifies their soul, and doomed is the one who corrupts it.” [Q. 91:9-10] This course offers a transformative journey toward spiritual awareness and character development. Alongside deep discussions on spiritual awareness, the curriculum will address the diseases of the heart—such as envy, arrogance, and heedlessness—and provide practical exercises to overcome them. Through self-reflection, character development, and intentional action, students will align their motives and behaviors with the principles of tazkiyyah, seeking purification of both the heart and soul.
